As an overweight teen Kim decided it was time to lose weight and incorporated exercise into her daily routine. Immediately noticing aches and pains she ignored the problem, and figured it was just part of the deal. After a few years, she stopped working out because of back pain and a difficult diagnosis of spondylolisthesis as a teen added to the problem. This condition relates to the lower back giving the vertebrae movement that should not be there. With back pain, and attempting to find relief via different modalities Kim didn’t find the progress she was looking for. She had issues with the simple things, lying on her stomach, or the fact that a small misstep or a sneeze could cause problems. She learned about MAT and was amazed by the results. Mobility, pain relief, and strength were all improved to the point of being able to move better than she could ten years earlier.
She was immediately inspired to sign up to complete her certification in MAT and has dedicated this phase of her career to practicing MAT and watching her clients improve.
With a strong background in human movement, Kim is AFLCA certified and has taught classes for over 5 years. With experience and training in TRX, kettle bell training and more, Kim has increased knowledge of the how to strengthen and work with the human body.
Her favourite thing about being a Muscle Activation Technique practitioner is to watch someone come in that was having a hard time doing the basics in life like walking stairs, playing with their grandchildren, or opening a jar transform into a stronger version of themselves giving them a better quality of life.[/vc_column_text][minti_spacer][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/1"][minti_spacer][/vc_column][/vc_row]
